LEARNING ABOUT SCOTLAND

All along this second term, the students at IES Torreserena are learning about Megan's country (Edinburgh, Glasgow), its customs (kilts, Ceilidhs, bagpipes), sports, food and drink, the weather and about  important dates for the Scottish.

She has also introduced some "Scots" (the Scottish language).

VALENTINE'S DAY at IES TORRESERENA

Thanks to Megan, our "super" Language Assistant, the students in 1º ESO enjoyed this creative activity. 

They not only made crafts to get their heartbooks, but also learned words related to love and friendship. 

They practised oral comprehension, asked questions about the steps, interacted and cooperated with others and reflected about basic communicative strategies.

SEGUNDO PROYECTO BILINGÜE: "ANDALUCÍA"

Durante el segundo trimestre decidimos recorrer Andalucía con los grupos de 1º ESO y que cada grupo investigara aspectos diversos de sus ocho provincias. 

El recorrido a realizar abarca temas tan interesantes como los monumentos naturales y artísticos, los juegos populares andaluces, así como biografías de escritoras, cantantes, deportistas y personajes franceses que han tenido o tienen relación con Andalucía.

El recorrido a realizar abarca temas tan interesantes como los monumentos naturales y artísticos, los juegos populares andaluces, así como biografías de escritoras, cantantes, deportistas y personajes franceses que han tenido o tienen relación con Andalucía.

Sin lugar a dudas, no hay mejor manera de celebrar esta efeméride que acompañar a nuestros alumnos a descubrir parte de nuestra tierra. Todo ello, acompañado de presentaciones orales que cada grupo realizará al resto de sus compañeros y de una visita al CEIP La Juaida en la que alumnos de 1º ESO coordinarán y pondrán en práctica todo lo que han aprendido sobre juegos populares andaluces con 3º y 4º de primaria, realizando una actividad en la que ellos eran los verdaderos protagonistas.

Last 14 February, we announced the winners of the photographic contest.This contest was part of our first bilingual project: "Proyectando Viator".

We would like to thank all the students and their teachers in 1ºESO for their great work. Although it was difficult to make a decision, we finally have the winners, all of them in 1ºESO-C:
